I love the commentary with the answers!
Ok, here we go:
1. Sagacious
2. mellifluous
3. evening
Good luck to everyone!
And I wouldn’t want my daughter’s fifth grade teacher to be salacious either!
1. I’d prefer my daughter to be sagacious.
2. I know it’s not pedantic. I’m pretty sure the answer is not mellifluous. So, confabulation has to be the answer.
3. I see vespers in the word – has to be in the evening.
Thanks Julia!
Thanks ladies! No comments regarding answers…
Oh it’s so tempting to google, but I’ll refrain.
1. Sagacious
2. It has to be confabulation
3. I’m not Catholic but I do read a lot so I know this is in the evening 😉
Without looking anything up I am going with sagacious since I know what salacious is and I don’t like it, confabulation because it looks like it has ‘fable’ in it, and in the evening since vespers occur at dusk. All guesses, but I see I am in good company.
Aacckkk another chance to shine (or be a big ol’ dud AGAIN)
1. Sagacious
2. Confabulation
3. Evening
I know I’ve got 2…
I don’t know what sagacious means, but I know what salacious means and I do NOT want my child’s teacher to be salacious!
I’m guessing this one is confabulation,
And, I know vespertine, because I read The Vespertine, which is a great YA book by the way. At Evening
Oooh good quiz! Let’s see how I do…here’s my guesses!
1. sagacious (definitely!) 🙂
2. I’ll guess confabulation
3. At evening
