I’ve been avoiding this all week because I’ve been busier than a one-armed paper-hanger. I’m guessing at #3 but I love the word “oleophobic” and think about it every time I… 🙂
1.1 = 2
1.2 = iphone
2. 3
3. Bossy
It’s fun to see how you work through these!
1. Sounds like it resists oil. But I’m not sure what product uses it, unless it’s a cosmetic.
2. inferior substitute (I’ve never watched the movies, either)
3. conceited
It’s been fun to play!

Hmmm…
1. Oleo sounds like oil
2. Ersatz must be inferior because I had the same reaction!
3. supercilious: annoying
Good stuff for my brain…! I will come back to see the answers.
Good job ladies! And special applause to Emily for acknowledging both parts of question number one. She’s on to something there…
The answer to #1 is an oleophobic shield resists oil (2).
Question #2 – Ersatz means inferior substitute.
Question #3 – winsome:pleasing :: supercilious:obnoxious
Thank you Julia for helping me w/my vocab!

Here we go:
1. resists oil. As for something that has an oleophobic coating…hmm, you must have covered this in one of your posts and I wasn’t paying attention. All I can think of is dish soap, but it’s not exactly a coating, just oil-resistant.
2. inferior substitute (I’m with you, Robert Pattinson will do just fine!)
3. arrogant
#1 -filters the sun
#2 – immature
#3 – “delicious” (although I have a feeling that’s not it at all, but it rhymes! 🙂 )
Bless you Julia,
Hester, 🙂
